The Archer Branch Mural

A custom mural painted by Gainesville artist Ari Uberti is a prominent feature in the Children’s Area of the newly renovated and expanded Archer Branch Library.  The Foundation funded the mural as part of its $100,000 contribution to the renovation/expansion project.

This area will also hold all the children’s books, computers, and games, centralizing them in one location.

Ari is a Venezuelan illustrator based in Florida.
As she says of herself, “the purpose of each of my pieces is to make you smile.  After falling from a tree in 2014, I began to mix shapes, colors, and characters, always looking for the way to transform the ordinary into something positive and joyful.  Art and my love for nature transformed my life from head to toe, and today I love to share her vibrant illustrations with all of you.”

Her winning design idea for the mural, with its positive and joyful message and vibrant colors, seemed perfect for delighting children and parents alike.

It was a demanding project, but Ari successfully transformed her design idea into a bright, colorful, and inviting mural.

Starting with a bare space, she then laid out the mural design:

Thanks to a highly talented artist and the Foundation financing, Ali Uberti’s colorful and joyful mural now enhances the Archer community's 21st Century library.
